HAMBURG, N.Y. --- Finally!!!
After four consecutive second place finishes in the $16,500 Open Trot at Buffalo Raceway, Cr Blazin Beauty found the winner's circle on Saturday afternoon (June 18) with a dialed down 2-3/4 length victory over Lougazi in 1:59.1 over the fast track.

Cr Blazin Beauty finally gets the victory in Open Trot. |
Cr Blazin Beauty (David McNeight III) used her recent tactic of trying to bottom out the field and this time it worked out just fine. With panels of :29.2, :59.2 and 1:28.0, she had a big eight length cushion to play with down the stretch and that was more than enough to beat Lougazi (Ray Fisher Jr.). Daylon Phantom (Drew Monti) rolled in for third.
Owned by Marissa Russo and trained by David Russo, it was the third victory in 16 attempts for the 8-year-old mare Cr Blazin Beauty (Crazed-Melrose Abbey). Her bankroll increased to $43,936 in 2022 and $367,302 career-wise.
All About Thechase ($3.70) had the field trying to chase him down in the sub-featured $12,400 trot but they weren't successful as the 6-year-old gelding put away Photo Bomber by 2-1/4 lengths in 1:59.3.
After playing the give and go with Schnickel Fritz at the start, All About Thechase was in command with fractions of :29.3, 1:00.2 and 1:30.0. The lone problem came with a quarter mile to pace as Photo Bomber pulled along side All About Thechase making it a match race to the finish line.
The two-horse battle soon evaporated as All About Thechase (Mike Caprio) pulled away in the lane to get the win. Photo Bomber (Jim Morrill Jr.) had to settle for second best while Sanchez Rocks (Monti) rallied for third.

All About Thechase couldn't be 'chased' down in trotting event. |
Owned by the Caprio Stable LLC and trained by Alana Caprio, it was the second victory in six tries for All About Thechase (Conway Hall-Highway Cash). The score moved his seasonal earnings to $14,942 and $68,868 lifetime.
Morrill Jr. and McNeight III each posted driving doubles on the card.
Racing will resume on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with a nine-race card set for Father's Day.
