HAMBURG, N.Y. --- Driver Kevin Cummings made two perfect moves with Beachy Dream in Buffalo Raceway's $11,000 Class A-AA pace on Saturday night (Feb. 29) and it resulted in a length victory over Lucky McTrucky in 1:58.2 over the good track.

Approaching the half mile station, Beachy Dream was sitting third and felt the outer flow developing. Cummings just in the nick of time was able to sneak out and start his first over trip.

Then with a quarter mile to pace, Beachy Dream ($3.90), still on the rim, kicked it into high gear and was able to enjoy in what proved to be an insurmountable lead in the stretch. Lucky McTrucky (David McNeight III) took second with Hold The Gold (Denny Bucceri) rallying for third.

Owned by Mike Torcello and trained by Gerry Sarama, it was the second win in five appearances for the 9-year-old gelded Beachy Dream (If I Can Dream-Beachy Girl. The win increased his seasonal earnings to $15,950 and $254,530 lifetime.

In the sub-featured $10,000 Class A pace, Andy's Ideal ($5.90) showed plenty of heart in beating Allstar Energy by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:57.3.

After relinquishing the lead to Blue On Black hitting the third-quarter pole, driver Ray Fisher Jr. re-energized Andy's Ideal in the lane and never looked back in topping Allstar Energy (McNeight III) while Blue On Black (Shawn McDonough) had to settle for third.
