In seven starts this season, Heavenly Place now has been in the money every time with four victories including an easy three length win in the $10,500 Fillies and Mares Open Pace at Buffalo Raceway Wednesday night (March 19).

She left little doubt who was the 'queen' on this night. Sitting fourth at the half mile, driver David McNeight III pulled Heavenly Place first over down the backstretch the final time and cruised past the pace-setting L Diz (Aaron Byron).

By the time the field realized the big move Heavenly Place ($7.80) had just thrown at them at the three-quarter marker, it was all over. She notched a 1:58.4 clocking over the good track including a 58.3 final half and 28.3 last quarter. Taylor Rei (Ray Fisher Jr.) managed to rally and take second while L Diz held on for third.

With the victory, the 6-year-old Heavenly Place has now earned $18,547 this season. She is owned by CHS Racing and the Limerick Racing Stable with David McNeight Jr. the trainer.

Racing will resume on Thursday night at 5 p.m. at Buffalo Raceway with a 10-race program on tap.
