Hamburg, NY--- Meadows invader Mythical Hall, a five-year-old Andover Hall gelding, won the $11,000 Open Trot in 1:57.3, for owner Mark J Jakubik, of West Seneca NY, here at Buffalo Raceway Friday night (May 17), over a fast track. It was the fourth win in fourteen attempts this season for Mythical Hall, whose winning time establishes a new season’s mark at the Raceway this year.
Driver Kevin Cummings put Mythical Hall ($4.90), the 9/5 second choice in the betting, on the lead, and he set all the fractions in the race, :28.2, :57.4, and 1:27.4 to the three-quarter marker. A :29.4 last quarter-mile put the winner two lengths ahead of second place finisher, Under The Stars (Ron Beback, Jr.), at the finish line. Serious George (Dave McNeight III) came in third.
Trained by J. D. Perrin, the $5,500 share of the winning purse put Mythical Hall’s season’s earnings at $36,872, and $300,468 lifetime. It was his 13th win in 60 lifetime starts.
