HAMBURG, N.Y. --- A power outage just before the start of the fifth race at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday night (July 4) forced officials to cancel the remaining six events on the program.

A transformer failure in the Hamburg area cut power throughout the town including the Buffalo Raceway facilities.

Due to previously announced scheduling changes, Buffalo Raceway will be dark on Friday night but the simulcasting area will be open as usual. Live action will return on Saturday with an 11-race program set for 6 p.m. Then on Sunday, there's a 12:30 p.m. matinee which will feature the New York Sire Stakes with the 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers ready to clash.
