HAMBURG, N.Y. --- Voltina found the inside post to her liking on Wednesday night (April 12) as she took advantage of the great draw to register a 3/4-length victory over Deliciouslynaughty in the $10,000 Open pace for the mares at Buffalo Raceway in 1:55.2.

Voltina used passing lane to score Wednesday victory.

The victory by Voltina in the opener was just a start of a outstanding night for Kevin Cummings as he scored five wins, including several long shots. Cummings won with Voltina ($11.20), Chickenwithabanjo ($2.80), Springhouse Star ($7.20), Amoreuble Hanover ($27.40) and Our Last Photo ($47.20).

In the feature, Wanna Rock N Roll (Drew Monti) was in command of the fractions with panels of 28.0, 56.4 and 1:26.2 over the fast track. But those splits proved to be too much in the end for Wanna Rock N Roll as the closers began making their big moves in the stretch.

Voltina, tracking along in the garden spot, found the passing lane to be the best place to be. She dipped to the inside and paced to the lead while Deliciouslynaughty (Larry Stalbaum) and Who Says That (John Cummings Jr.) charged late but settled to take second and third respectively.

Owned by Chs Racing LLC and trained by Anthony Cummings, Voltina (Allamerican Native-Best Not Tell) has won three times in 12 starts in 2017. It pushed her earnings to $18,690 this season and $159,231 lifetime.

Ray Fisher Jr. added a double in the sulky.

Racing will resume on Friday night at 5 p.m. with an 11-race card slated.
